Hey everyone, sorry I haven’t posted in a while–but with 2026 being the 60th Anniversary of The Monkees, there is going to be a lot more posts and content coming soon.
Monkees fan Claudia Pinto reached out to me back in March asking if I would make a post about Tommy Boyce Day in Scottsville, VA. Tommy Boyce along with his co-writer Bobby Hart wrote “The Theme from The Monkees”, “Last Train To Clarksville” and countless other songs, and were a major contribution to creating the sound and aura of The Monkees. Tommy Boyce’s birthday is September 29th, and the people of Scottsville, VA would like to make this “Tommy Boyce Day” in their community.
